ABOUT HEMP

A variety of Cannabis sativa L, hemp is a dioecious plant, which means it can be separated into male and female plants. These plants have served a wide variety of purposes for more than 10,000 years: for fiber (from the plant’s stems), protein (from seeds), and oils and smokable portions (from the leaves and flowers). Hemp fibers can be used to make items including paper, clothing, furnishing fabric, rope, and building materials.

WASHING AND DRYING HEMP

For regular cleaning, we recommend a warm and gentle hand or machine wash with a mild detergent (no bleach or detergent with optical brighteners). Washing your hemp with high temperatures can cause shrinkage and weaken the natural fibers.
We also recommend separating white, light , Baceno hemp cushion cover and dark hemp fabrics prior to machine washing, and washing hemp separately from other fabrics. Avoid soaking your hemp fabrics for more than 10 minutes. If you choose to outsource your hemp product cleaning to external providers, please ensure they are aware of the appropriate way to care for your hemp. Hemp can be tumble-dried on a low heat. Alternatively, we recommend air-drying your linen where possible for a softer, more superior finish.

IRONING HEMP

Natural hemp is designed to have a soft, textural finish after washing. Creases and wrinkles are all part of the beauty and magic of pure hemp! However, if you do wish to iron or press your hemp, we recommend using a medium-hot iron while the material is still damp for best results.

STORING POLICY

To prevent mildew, make sure your hemp fabrics are completely dry before storing. Hemp is created using natural fibers that need to breathe, and are best kept in cool, dry areas with appropriate ventilation. Avoid storing your hemp in direct sunlight, as this can cause discoloration.
